We will gather your shipment information so we know who to ship any items you order to, and some contact information just incase we need to get a hold of you about any order. Step 2: Find a textbook you wish to buy, and click the 'buy now' button. Use the search or browse features to find the textbook you are looking for. Once you have verified a user on our web site is selling the book you are looking for, click on the 'buy now' button.

Step 3: Log in to your account, or create a new free account if you haven’t already. Log in to your Textbookexchange.ca account to continue with the buying process. By logging into your free account, this allows us to verify your shipping information and contact information for this order. If you have not already created an account, we will need this information so please click on the link to create a free account, and then find the book you wish to purchase again, and click on 'Buy Now' to start your order again.

Step 4: Confirm the item you wish to purchase/Click on Buy Now button. We will show you the title and the price of the used textbook we believe you are purchasing. If this matches the order you wish to place, Click on the 'Buy Now' Button on this page to continue to Paypal to pay for this item.

Step 5: Log into your Paypal account / Create a new Paypal account . After you click the 'buy now' button, you will automatically be directed to paypal.com to make payment on your items. The page you are brought to will instruct you to either log in to your existing Paypal account, or to create a new one. If you do not have an account, all you have to do is fill out some personal information and your payment information and one will automatically be created. The cost of the book always includes the cost of shipping and taxes, and paypal does not charge buyers for purchases from our web site.

Step 6: The seller confirms sale and ships the purchased item. After we confirm payment for the item, the seller is immediately notified to ship the item you have purchased. We give the seller 6 days to inform us they will ship the item, which is what normally happens. If we do not hear from them within 6 days, or if they inform us they cannot ship this item, you will be refunded immediately. Otherwise you should expect a shipment confirmation email once the seller confirms the item has been shipped.

Step 7: You receive your item, and confirm that you are satisfied with your purchase so we can pay the seller.

Once the seller confirms they will ship the item, it usually takes about 2-9 business days for you to receive your item. If you do not receive your item within two weeks from when the shipment confirmed email was sent to you, please log into your account and let us know to put payment on hold until you receive the item. Otherwise, simply log into your account once you receive your item, and let us know that you are satisfied with your purchase, and that it is ok to pay the seller. Once you let us know its ok to pay the seller, this is taken care of by our Sales Support department, and the order is complete.

Step 2: Click on the 'sell books' link and post your textbook for sale. Click on the 'Sell Books' tab which you can find near the top right of every page on the web site. Once you click on this tab, you will be prompted to enter the information about the textbook you wish to sell. Once this information is properly filled out, you should click on the 'Post book' button to confirm you wish to post your book for sale. Once you do this, we will confirm your book has been posted on our web site.

Step 3: You receive 'SOLD' email confirmation, and agree or disagree to sale. When we find a buyer for your item and confirm payment, you will automatically receive our 'SOLD' email. This will have all the details you will need to know about how to complete this order, including the buyers shipping information. When you receive this email, it is important that you log into your account and click on the 'SOLD BOOKS' tab, and confirm if you will be shipping the item or not. If we do not receive confirmation you will be shipping the item within 6 days, the buyer will be refunded and the order will be cancelled. If you confirm that you will ship this item, then we will notify the buyer immediately to expect the book within an average of 2-9 business days and for them to let us know once they receive it, so we can pay you.

Step 4: Ship the sold used textbook, and expect payment shortly. Once you confirm you will ship the item, you should ship it as soon as possible. The buyer is automatically sent an email letting them know to expect the item within 2-9 business days, and if they do not receive it within 2 weeks they are informed to notify us so we can hold payment on the item. Please purchase a tracking number to quickly allow us to verify shipment. In most cases (all so far) the buyer will promptly receive the item, and you are sent a paypal payment via the email address you provided us within 24 hours of confirmation the buyer received their order, and that they are satisfied with their purchase. Once payment is made, you have successfully made a sale, and the order has been completed.
